Beatrice
Beatrice works with the woodworking cooperative of the Kenya Evangelical Lutheran Church. As a blind woman, she had fallen victim to extreme poverty until she was given a job sanding. Relying on a keen sense of touch, she has been liberated from poverty and is excited to share her work with you.
Albert
Albert is a Rwandan refugee that escaped genocide by fleeing to Kenya. He now makes Christmas cards from bark of the banana tree as a way to feed his family and share his faith.

Margaret
Margaret hand spins her own wool and knits hats and scarves. She recently became a grandmother and supports her family through her work. Her quality knitting provides hope for the newest member of her family. Margaret is currently enrolled in a Lutheran sewing school in Kenya and is an active member at her Church.
Priscilla
Priscilla hand-spins wool on a homemade machine (left). She knits hats and scarves in a cooperative with 30 other Kenyan women, all living in poverty. These women are extremely gifted, and praise God for the opportunity to share their work with you. Priscilla has used a loom purchased by VMA to expand her business by producing wool rugs!
